Financial support as a management tool

An important Brazilian distributor, for strategic reasons, has based its supplies operations on agreements with overseas suppliers. This is a classic case where working with a trading company results in significant gains in efficiency. In its search for an ideal partner, imports were contracted from three different trading groups. However, this wasn’t enough to guarantee sustainable long-term growth for the distributor.

By forming a working relationship with Energy, a new perspective was introduced in the strategy: solid financial management in harmony with the commercial flow of the company.

We elaborated a proposal based on the average payment dates in the receivables portfolio and the institutional guarantees available at the distributor. In this way, besides the rational use of import logistics and operational aspects, our client could now rely on a benefit created by Energy: a deferred payment calendar within the possibilities of its cash flow regimen.
